The Chicago Bulls have announced that All-Star forward Jimmy Butler will be out for tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets due to a right heel contusion.

This will be only the third game Butler has missed this season. The Bulls forward is having a career season, averaging 24.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.

The Bulls have not announced who will start in Butler’s place, or if the injury is likely to have long-term implications for their star forward.

In the two games Butler missed earlier this season, the Bulls started two different players at small forward — rookie Paul Zipser in one and Doug McDermott in the other. The team lost both games.
