It looks like Joakim Noah staying in Chicago may not be a certainty after all.
That’s because Mitch Lawrence of The Sporting News is claiming that Tom Thibodeau, who is currently head coach and president of basketball operations in Minnesota, is going after the center in free agency.
Thibodeau holds the final say over player personnel decisions on the Minnesota Timberwolves and he certainly would like to get his former Defensive Player of the Year back.
Noah reportedly was “unhappy” last season in a Chicago Bulls uniform, although his agent Bill Duffy quickly refuted those claims.
Hampered by shoulder injuries this season, Noah averaged just 4.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists a game.
