Rumors started a couple of weeks ago that the Chicago Bulls may be interested in dealing for Philadelphia 76ers big man Jahlil Okafor, and apparently, the rumors aren’t going away anytime soon.
Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype reported that Okafor has been informed by his team that they are engaged in trade talks with the Bulls, as well as a handful of other teams.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been linked to Okafor in the past, but the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets interest is new.
The Bulls certainly don’t have the best group of trade assets among these teams, but it’s also unclear what the Sixers asking price is in the first place.
Okafor was the number three overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft, and was once considered to be an equal prospect to Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns. The former Duke big man’s stock has fallen quite a bit since then, but it’s likely these teams are looking at the Sixers’ extremely crowded big man rotation and thinking they can get more out of Okafor with consistent minutes.
Okafor averaged 17.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in his rookie season while shooting 51 percent from the field.
