Rumors have been floating around the past month or two about Jimmy Butler, but most have been just hot air. This rumor comes directly from ESPN, so it holds a little more weight.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have offered the third pick in 2016 NBA Draft for Jimmy Butler, but the Bulls are obviously not biting on that. If the Bulls were to consider a trade for Butler, Andrew Wiggins would have to be included in the deal:
Good work from Marc. Word is Bulls won't do if AW not involved. If wanted to move JB, bet Bos. would give up No. 3. https://t.co/YBBxwCi8Es

The original rumor surfaced when Marc Stein tweeted the offer that Timberwolves made available:
Story going online now with @chadfordinsider: Wolves making No. 5 overall pick available in hopes of tempting Bulls into Jimmy Butler trade

If the Bulls trade Jimmy Butler for Andrew Wiggins and some assets the Bulls would definitely look different next season. They would get a lot younger which means they are most likely in rebuild mode.
