It has been confirmed.
The official Chicago Bulls manager of entertainment, Barry Anderson, or actually, the man who is most famously known as Benny the Bull, will not be returning next season.
In a post on his Facebook page on Friday, Anderson wrote that he’s officially stepping down as Benny the Bull starting June 30.
“After 12 incredible years, it’s come time for me to explore this world, this life, without my fuzzy red friend. In what’s been an impossibly difficult choice to make, I’ve decided that June 30th will be my final day at the Chicago Bulls, where my heart will forever live.”
Benny the Bull was named mascot of the year in 2015, but the man behind the mask, Anderson, is said to be planning to pursue other interests at this time.
