One such example are Chicago Bulls teammates Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic. In the upcoming USA vs. Spain game, the guard and the forward will play against each other for the first time. It’s some pretty friendly ribbing between teammates, but perhaps tension will escalate if there is a close game.

Spain has been USA’s main competition in the last two Olympics, meeting them in the gold medal game both times. We’ll see if they can carry the momentum into Butler’s matchup with his teammate.
